Loopring (LRC) is a decentralised cross-platform protocol that aims to pair order matchings across multiple exchanges, protect against counter-party risks (bankrupty, fraud, hacks etc) & reduce the cost of trading cryptocurrency.

Loopring is a vital part of the Decentralized Exchange ecosystem and one that is being adopted by NEO, QTUM and potentially Ethereum at this stage.

What Problems is Loopring looking to solve?

Loopring is looking to solve a few major issues as briefly touched on.

1. Cross Chain Protocol (liquidity/volume)

Loopring by design is able to communicate with any Blockchain that has smart contract capabilities. For example all ERC20 like tokens would be tradable under the Loopring Protocol which opens the possibilities to further adoption.

2. Decentralised / Security (DDOS)

Unlike centralised exchanges that exist currently, Loopring enables every part of the transaction to be on the Blockchain allowing for end to end decentralisation and protection from DDOS attacks.

3. Liquidity (Ring-Matching)

Looprings automated trading intelligence creates the link between crypto exchanges and blockchains enabling traders to acquire from a much larger liquidity pool than they would have access too on centralised exchanges with poor volume etc.

How does Loopring work?

Normally when you trade on exchanges (such as Binance, Kucoin, HitBTC & others) , you must deposit your funds/coins to the exchange wallet itself in order to buy/sell and trade. Loopring changes this functionality allowing the user to never have to deposit or expose their assets on the exchange itself are trades are never locked.  Loopring dramatically increases users security, which is a traders/investors number one concern outside portfolio performance of course.

Loopring vs Competitors

Looprings major competitors are The Kyber Network (KYBER) & 0X (ZRX)

Where can you Purchase Loopring tokens?

Loopring tokens are available to purchase via BITTREX  (top volumes to date)  currently, we expect more exchanges to be announced in the short term.

How to protect & store your Loopring tokens?

Loopring tokens are ERC-20 compliant and can be stored Ledger Nano S or Trezor .

Outlook for Loopring

The future is promising for Loopring if they can successfully integrate with Major blockchains such as Neo, Qtum and Ethereum.

However there are major competitors eager to capture the cake, this will be a interesting space to watch.
